Integrated oil spill risk analyses as a decision-making tool for response planning

An integrated approach on estimating the environmental risk of spill of oil and hazardous substances at sea is presented. Each member of the causal chain is modeled in detail, each including an array of scenarios. Finally, it is demonstrated how the approach has been used in order to provide relevant decision support on a national and trans-national level.
