ABSTRACT
This paper presents a modified s-shaped reliability planning model (SPL). The modified SPL model links the reliability growth with the project plan directly. This is achieved by the introduced adjustment factor which enables the operator to describe the early stages of product development more precisely. The planned reliability using the modified SPL is compared to the adjusted curve to which data from actual testing was fed back. The initial planning can thus be assessed and counter-measures defined accordingly.
