ABSTRACT
Let us consider, in the Euclidean space 3, a structure formed by two adherents connected by a third material in contact with the two bodies by means of two physical interfaces. It is assumed that the thickness of the third material (joint) is small respect to the characteristic dimensions of the bonded assembly. The joint interacts with the two adherents through traction components which can be considered as the external surface loads.
