With the development of cities, there is a trend that increasing tall buildings are erected in a relatively close proximity owing to inadequate available land in urban area, especially in some metropolises, which gives a possibility to connect these adjacent buildings horizontally. Consequently, more and more tall buildings in close proximity are designed as linked buildings all over the world.
