ABSTRACT
A total of 50 comparisons between the FE models and physical tests were made. Table 1 presents a summary of the results in terms of the mean test/FE capacity and coefficient of variation (COV) for each set of tests.The overall validation results indicate excellent agreement with the largest over and under prediction being 2.2% and 0.07% respectively and minimal scatter. The close agreement of the overall load-deformation response between a typical FE model and physical test are shown in Fig. 1.
