ABSTRACT
Many of current design codes for steel structures (EN 1993-1-1 2005, ANSI/AISC 360-10 2010) alongside with the conventional methods based on firs-order analysis, effective length concept and individual member check allows alternative methods for stability verification.According to alternative methods the stability analysis of the structures or their parts should account for the second-order effects and both geometrical and material imperfections.
