ABSTRACT
Two series of parametric studies were conducted, referred to as the N-and M-series. In the N-series, geometries were generated based on set values of H/B, NY/NT(Iw = 0) and slenderness values (λe, λr), where B and H are the total flange width and the web width, respectively, NY and NT(Iw = 0) are the squash capacity and torsional buckling load ignoring the secondary warping, respectively, andλe andλr are the normalised flexural slenderness and normalised global (flexural and flexural-torsional) slenderness, respectively.
