ABSTRACT
First studies related to the resistance of steel-concrete interface are dated from the late ’90s, although the idea of applying a certain roughness to the interfaces is older.
Thomann (2005), until then, represents the most extensive research on interface shear, considering the influence of geometry and materials. The purpose was to make a connection between steel beams and prefabricated concrete slabs to be used in steel-concrete composite bridges.
