Processes of ID-based linking of structural relevant construction phase data to planning phase data using auto-ID tech

Today a lot of processes in different businesses are supported by the use of auto-ID techniques such as e.g. radio frequency identification (RFID) or barcode. These techniques allow generating and processing data belonging to identifiable objects in real time. Beginning with Jaselskis 1995 application examples in construction context could be found in literature. So auto-ID techniques combined with object orientated planning phase data should be able to make the above mentioned linking based or link producing procedures when inspection structural relevant work more efficient.
