Based on the “similitude requirements” and Pi Theorem that relates the reduced scale model to the prototype structure, a reduced scale model of the prototype bridge is designed. By determining the geometric scale SL and the scale factor for Young’s Modulus SE and considering the AMS (Artificial Mass Simulation), the 3-D spatial model is constructed, as seen in Figure 1 (Yang 2007).
