ABSTRACT
The analysis results are shown in Fig. 5(a) and (b). It is noted that the slip was reduced nearly half by using extra two anchor rods, which is similar as observed in the experimental study. Because of the slip of the base plate, the axial deformation of BRB was reduced. As shown in Fig. 5(b), the BRB behaved different from the expected one, which is shown in Fig. 2(a).Although the frame with ‘BRB3’ showed the smallest slip, the BRB behavior is nearly the same as the one with ‘BRB2’.
