Applications
In general, data mining is the process of analysing data from different perspectives and summarizing it into useful information-information that, for example, can be used to increase revenue, cuts costs, or both, and so on. The most common approach in data mining is to mine information from structured data, i.e., the data is structured into tabular form, where each column has its own given meaning. In RapidMiner, most of the learning algorithms expect tabular data (Example Set) as an input.
