ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This paper focuses on ontology-based knowledge management in the framework of a mobile field data investigation system for rescue operation. A data service is presented; prior domain knowledge about planning the large-scale disaster operations is combined. For describing the knowledge, OWL is used to represent the ontology of disaster investigation. Then the survey tables and background recourses are provided by ontological reasoning and sent to field investigators. In this way, headquarter could increase the speed of making decisions and lunching following rescue operations.
