ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will define honor-based violence (HBV) and describe the types of offending that fall within this definition. The chapter also will present details about the prevalence of different forms of HBV, the characteristics of victims and perpetrators, and the impact of HBV. We begin by providing a definition of honor-based violence.
