ABSTRACT

The concept of histopathology may be defi ned as the diagnosis and study of disease through the interpretation of cell and tissue samples under microscopy examination. When used as a biomarker to investigate the effects or the risk of a specimen’s exposure to chemicals, histopathology is a powerful tool for evaluating morphological changes, including accessing the degree of pollution.
