Among them were Queen’s Counsel and Crown Counsel. e appointment to Queen’s Counsel (QC) is a designation aorded to an attorney, recognizing individual merit, usually aer years of community service and advocacy. e term Crown Counsel (CC) refers to attorneys that are prosecutors working for the provincial or federal governments in Canada in proceedings under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and other federal statutes. Crown Attorneys are not elected and can be removed from their position only pursuant to employment agreements.
