ABSTRACT
The site is located at Xinglong village which distanced about 5 km from Luan River in Hebei province. This site belongs to the north temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate. The average annual temperature is 10.5 °C, with frost-free period 175 d. The average annual rainfall is 680.4 mm. The soil type is meadow with sandy loamy texture. The soil chemical characters are: soil pH is 5.54, soil organic matter content is 8.04 g/kg, and the content of total nitrogen, available phosphorus and available K is 0.365 g/kg, 34.35 mg/kg and 38 mg/kg, respectively.
