ABSTRACT
It is very rare to extract cesium from brine in the industry. There has been literature that studied using 4-tert-butyl-2-(α-methylbenzyl) phenol (t-BAMBP) to extracting Rb and Cs from low concentration of Rb and Cs’s chloride system. In witch xylene or diethylbenzene are often used as diluent, but they have certain toxicity and are not conducive to protection of environmental and safety of production. In this paper, non-toxic sulfonated kerosene is used as thinner to separate and extract cesium from potassium-rich brine of Jiangling and the extraction effects of the relevant factors were studied.
