ABSTRACT
Heat exchanger has been widely used in many industrial applications,[1] such as food, oil, heat recovery etc. However, fluid leakage from one fluid side to the other fluid side is a common problem.[2] As leakage occurs, the heat transfer coefficient may be lowered, the fluid purity may decrease,[3] and fluids may contact on both sides. It seriously affect the production[4] and fluid contamination may be dangerous in some applications.[5,6] So leakage is permissible within limits, in other applications fluid leakage is absolutely not allowed, and leakage detection is a key strategy.
