ABSTRACT

Reclamation years and reclamation vegetation types are two key factors influencing the quality of soil under restoration.[14-16] Investigations of the effects of reclamation years and vegetation types on soil properties and relevant processes will contribute to a better understand of soil restoration dynamics at different years using different vegetation types. In addition, such studies will shed lights on the evolution of soil fertility and related processes. In this study, changes in soil fertility and driving forces were analyzed based on data from Kunyang Phosphate Mine, where soil restoration has been conducted for more than 30 years using various vegetation types. Correlation analyses were conducted to determine the driving forces for soil property change. Knowledge obtained will provide reference for selection of vegetation types to improve soil quality in the mining site.
