ABSTRACT

As the boiling poins of acetaldehyde(20.8˚C) and PO(34˚C) are close, they were difficult to separate by general distillation, but improved the concentration of acetaldehyde in PO product instead. In order to remove the acetaldehyde micro-impurities from PO product, Reaction distillation was employed in the product purification process by adding additives. But during the actual operation, it has been found that the additives could react with PO causing that the yield of PO was only 90% after reactive distillation. Therefore, It is needed to find a new separation methods to remove acetaldehyde impurities so that reducing the consumption of PO in the process of product purification.
