ABSTRACT
The project selected Maan Mountain reservoir as a water supply source. It was reported that the water inlet elevation difference of Maan Mountain reservoir is 2000 meters, the distance of the raw water conveyance is 8938 meters and the elevation of water plants is 645 meters, the elevation difference between water source and water plants is 1355 meters. By hydraulic calculation, the water head loss is about 1.0 meters so that it can completely realize water supply depending on the gravity. Moreover, high elevation difference of 1354 meters results in high pipe pressure, so we have a comparison of the raw water conveyance pipe material of two schemes (Table 1).
