ABSTRACT

Ensuring effective energy efficiency control of

production processes at enterprises of Ukraine contributes to solving problems of its energy security, improves the ecological situation. The existing principles of energy management at industrial enterprises are based on the structural features of the production management apparatus, existing subordination of its individual links, and functional division of responsibilities between heads of departments. Introducing the responsibility for energy consumption of an enterprise in the scope of official duties of a chief power engineer, without maintaining solid relations of his activities with the process management directly at workplaces, results in the reduced energy efficiency of production. Wide involvement of heads of structural divisions as direct executers of technological operations in energy management, expansion of their authorities and strengthening of their responsibilities in the field of energy saving opens up new opportunities for the process organization on principally new approaches. Energy consumption planning directly in structural divisions of an enterprise, its comparison with actual consumption, creates all the possibilities for the continuous control of the achieved energy efficiency performance, its significant improvement in the management process. Energy management systems of industrial enterprises, where new management principles are used, are well-known in the international practice and they have high efficiency. This study outlines the basic principles of such systems, determines the content and sequence of interaction of their

individual components, and gives examples of their implementation in mining.
