ABSTRACT
Conveyor transport is used on a broad scale in underground coal mine development in Ukraine. Accumulator locomotives with coal wagons are also common there. But taking into account the large number of mines which are hazardous due to the gas and dust, and moreover, the number of accidents in mining industry, we should admit that progress in the field of improving and developing the energy-efficient modes of operation for transport system with inductive energy transfer seems to be promising. A characteristic property of such transport is the absence of direct connection between the current collector and a traction supply network, which makes it intrinsically safe and applicable in mines where occupational hazard is observed.
