ABSTRACT
The subject is so broad-ranging, interesting, and complex that responding with a single sentence would be reductive. We have therefore decided to answer the question using a “potpourri” of elements that, taken together, provide a helpful conceptual framework of supply chain management. At that point we will move on to a more detailed examination of its many facets throughout the remainder of the chapter.
