ABSTRACT
A Analysis of MSP feasibility All elements are available to test MSP feasibility. As a matter of fact, after the computation of net component needs, the quantities and starting dates of the different components are known. From this information, it is possible, thanks to the knowledge of manufacturing instructions and times according to the different available means, to ”translate“ these needs (with some sorting) into a predicted load per means of production and per period. The comparison with the capacities of these resources enables the validation of MSP feasibility and, in the event of an incompatibility, to test modifications: growth of the capacity of a resource, subcontracting, modification of MSP (Fig. 7.11).
