ABSTRACT

Logistics efficiency contributes directly to the business result. In a competitive economic environment, the organization has to use all of its functions to boost development, in order to acquire a competitive position. Logistics – which is in charge historically of the physical flows from the reception in the warehouse to customer delivery – can be considered either as a basic activity that stores, picks and delivers customer’s orders at the lower cost possible, or as a key strategic actor in the enterprise’s objective to set up a durable and reliable competitive advantage.
