ABSTRACT

Business management and the social sciences often rely on a set of statistical methods to support the observations made. However, the challenge is in selecting an appropriate statistical technique for analyzing the relationship among variables. The ‘correct test’ depends on a couple of things, ranging from the number of observations to the data structure (which includes the level of measurement). For instance, a common test for assessing the extent of a group of independent variables infl uencing another dependent variable is the Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA). The prerequisite condition for the MRA is that the level of measurement of all the variables must be continuous.
