ABSTRACT
This chapter will discuss the process of preparing and submitting a manuscript for publication. It will be written from the perspective of a journal editor and a published author, and will attempt to describe what an editor and editorial board look for when receiving a manuscript for consideration; how authors can increase acceptance rates by appropriate journal selection; the process of preparing a manuscript for publication; and what happens once a manuscript is submitted and how to work successfully and collaboratively with manuscript reviewers.
