ABSTRACT
Analysis of accident causation is not a simple issue. Each accident can have multiple causes and the relationship among different factors is complex (Hale et al., 2007).
Although there are a few studies of causes of accidents in specific industries (Jacinto et al., 2009) or types of accidents (Aneiziris et al., 2013), accident causation in the manufacturing sector is still a relevant field of research (Khanzode et al., 2012). In the literature review performed, we found no analysis of the role of worker characteristics in accident causation in the manufacturing sector.
