ABSTRACT

The body temperature of the cattle may vary between 37°C and 39°C. The optimal temperature of milk production depends on the species, breed and the animal tolerance degree to heat and cold. For instance, to the studied dairy farm and to Holstein Friesian animals (more representative breed), in lactation, the air temperature should be around 24°C and the relative air humidity should near 38% (Baccari Júnior, 1998).
