ABSTRACT

Light has played a special role in many significant scientific discoveries. Right from the start, it was the light from the stars, planets, andmoons reaching their eyes that gave early scientists the ability to unravel the cycles of celestial bodies. For this purpose, optical devices such as telescopes were invented. Optics is, therefore, one of the oldest fields

of scientific study. Using the data from such optical observations, Kepler, Newton, and others eventually developed classical mechanics.
