ABSTRACT
The term aerobiology was coined in the early 1930’s by F.C. Meir who was the plant pathologist working in the department of agriculture, USA. It does not mean that aerobiological work was not done prior to 1930. Aerobiological work and its applications in health and environmental pollution dates back to the period of Vedas about 3000 B.C.
