ABSTRACT
The exhaled nitric oxide test, which measures the fractional concentration of exhaled NO (FeNO), is a relatively new tool in the assessment of asthmatic patients. In this chapter, we discuss the scientifi c background for the test, practical aspects of FeNO measurement and interpretation, and the implications for clinical use of this test.
