TIP: Use toys and gadgets and assess primitive reflexes while visually observing the child’s hand function.
Do not assume that someone else has diagnosed other anomalies such as a sacral dimple, duplicate toes, an unusual facial appearance, or a known syndromic disorder that is associated with the hand anomaly.
