ABSTRACT
Breast cancer is a complex and heterogeneous disease, corresponding to the main malignant neoplasia that causes death by cancer in women worldwide. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer accounted for both 30 percent of new cases of female cancers and 26 percent of deaths by cancer in women from the United States in 2011 (Siegel et al. 2011).
