ABSTRACT
Synthetic dyes are complex aromatic compounds extensively used in the textile, leather, cosmetics, food, paper and pulp industries. These compounds contain functional groups such as azo, anthraquinone, triphenylmethane, heterocyclic or phthalocyanine as chromophore.
