ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: By using the daily precipitation data of Guangxi and ERA-interim reanalysis data from 1981 to 2010 and the classification and statistical methods, the wide range continuous rainstorm cases in the conditions of plateau trough (PT), south branch trough (SBT) and north China trough (NCT) were analyzed separately. The circulations and physical quantities in the same type of trough were composed. The results show that the wide range continuous rainstorms could occur in Guangxi between January and September, mostly between May and July. The features of circulation and physical quantities in different condition were particular and different. The conceptual models of the wide range continuous rainstorms were found.
