ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The Jiayue Bridge crosses the Jialing River at the core of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. It is a partially cable-supported girder bridge with a 250-meter main span. The girder section is a single-cell concrete box with wide wing slabs on both sides. Y-shaped tower and the girder are fixed together. Due to adopting double traffic system, the paths for pedestrians and bicyclists are placed at the crossbeam of the tower, which led to complex structure and mechanical behavior of the tower-girder fixed region. In order to analyze the stress of different working condition and verify the feasibility of the structure design, the three-dimensional finite element model of the tower-girder fixed region is established. The results of calculation have certain value for the similar bridge.
