ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Based on monitoring data of Hanjiang River water quality during 2001-2011 on different sections (8 monitoring sections), three great harmful pollution indexes, i.e. CODMn, NH3-N and TP, are picked, analyzed and compared using single factor index analysis method. The results shows that: (1) Temporal variation: Water quality of the middle and lower reaches of Hanjiang River in recent years sees a trend of deteriorate. Density of phosphorus has an apparent augment. (2) Spatial variation: from higher to lower reaches, density of pollutant in the main section of the Hanjiang has rising. Therefore, there are a lot to be done on the pollution control of Hanjiang River to ensure the coordinated development of economy and environment.
