The survey of EEWH–Daylight evaluation system by LEED-Daylight standard – Taking Beitou Library as an example

ABSTRACT: The developing of urban caused amount of energy consumption, many of the sustainable building rating systems have taken numerical simulation as one of the rating indicators to reduce damage to the environment during construction. However, the current green building rating system of Taiwan, called EEWH, has not included any numerical simulation items but assessed window area and daylight area of daylight. This research has employed indicators from LEED-Daylight to simulate a case of the Taipei Public Library Beitou Branch, which awarded Diamond Certification set of EEWH.This study trends to conclude with some recommendations on Taiwan EEWH Interior Daylight Simulation by comparing the requirements for daylight assessment between EEWH and LEED.
