ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: With the aging process increasing and silver industry advancing in China, the urbanized apartments for the aged are developing at a high speed. As an entry point, this paper pays equal attention to material life and spiritual life and also focuses on the differences between different life stages of the elderly. And then, taking account of the current situation of civil elderly apartments and their real needs, a concept of characteristic apartments for the aged is proposed, which helps set up a diversiform and optional service platform and supporting facilities as well as constitute an all-around and multilevel system so as to improve endowment environment and adjust the market supply and demand.
