ABSTRACT
Different manufacturers have adopted different technologies and incorporated different hardware and software tools into their designs. Each modality is distinguished by the beam produced and its modeling, treatment delivery, multileaf collimators (MLCs), applicators, dose rate, specialized treatment planning, and IGRT techniques used. Some of the commercially available technologies are different from the classical C-arm type accelerator (CyberKnife, Hi-ART, ViewRay, and Vero). This chapter describes different technologies and devices created specifically for SRT. The main machines used are presented along with some future technologies (Table 4.1).
