ABSTRACT
Description The Rithron (XR) coronary stent is a balloon-expandable tubular device cut from 316 L stainless steel. This flexible and conformable stent is coated with a thin hypothrombogenic coating of amorphous hydrogenated silicon carbide (a-SiC:H). For easier fluoroscopic visualization of the coronary stent there is an XR version with 2.0 mm ring radiopaque markers at the distal and proximal end of the stent. The Rithron (XR) is available as a bare stent (under the name Tenax and Tenax XR) and as a stent system, pre-mounted on a low-profile fast-exchange delivery system. The Rithron (XR) delivery systems are hypotube based and 5 Fr guiding catheter compatible.
