ABSTRACT
Stent drug delivery enables a drug to be delivered directly from a stent, targeting tissue more precisely than is possible with parenteral delivery. This allows the local administration of a therapeutic dose, increasing efficacy and reducing the risk of undesirable systemic side-effects.
