ABSTRACT
Looking at the urbanization trends all over the world, it is easy to see that water resource is a major concern for urban authorities . They have the responsibility to the public of guaranteeing water supply in quantity and in qUality. Difficulties appear when consider ing the water cycle because of the complexity of the different stages of the cycle, the natural characteristics of the site and the influence of the different elements (Figure 8 . 1 ) .
