ABSTRACT
The method of Warren and Averbach (1950, 1952) is one of the most widely used in powder diffraction and one of the diffraction techniques most well known in the wider community of materials scientists. These facts make it almost impossible to give an nearly comprehensive list of the relevant literature. Only a few of the fundamental works will be cited, and apologies are due to those which should have been but have not been included in this list.
