ABSTRACT
The characteristic quantity of hard magnetic materials is the energy product BHmax , which is reached at the "working point" in the third quadrant of the magnetic hysteresis curve. As an example, Fig. 31 shows demagnetization curves of AlNiCo magnets with different textures and particle axis alignment. Texture tailoring in hard magnetic materials has been done with many different techniques, such as:
Uniaxial solidification. Extrusion. Powder pressing in a magnetic field. Annealing in a magnetic field.
