ABSTRACT

We consider samples in which N is the total number of sample specimens, n is the number of accepted specimens, and c = N - n is the number of rejected (censored) items. In truncated samples, Nand care unknown. Only n, the number of acceptances, is known. In selected samples, full measurement of the screening variable is made on both accepted and rejected items, but measurement of the remaining variables is made only on the n accepted sample specimens.
