ABSTRACT

A study of weathering of three different churches of the Latin American cultural heritage is made in this paper, comparing the deterioration of buildings located in two different urban atmospheres: a mixed/industrial environment (the cathedral of La Plata, Argentina, Fig. 1) and a moderately aggressive urban environment (the churches of Veracruz, Fig. 2, and San Ignacio, Fig. 3, in Medellín, Colombia).
